Isabelle Updates: June

Isabelle's 7th Month: 1 June- 1 July

• Isabelle is at such a fun age right now! Her personality is really showing through. She is a happy, determined little girl who loves to laugh and "sing" and babble.
• At her 6-month checkup, Isabelle weighed 17 pounds and was 27 inches long. She has now doubled her birth weight and is in the 70th percentile for both weight and height,
• Started crawling on June 8th, and learned pulled herself up to standing on June 26th. She is a determined little girl and loves exploring all around the house with the kittens.
• Learned how to stick out her tongue and she thinks it's funny to stick it out in photos.
• Lots of new consonant sounds like "Da Da" and has learned to make a "Ssssssss" noise.
• We started a music class on Fridays and Isabelle loves it! She gets to bang on drums, shake maracas, sing songs and dance with mommy and daddy. She has started making loud singing noises and we love listening to her attempt to sing!
• We also started bringing her to the pool regularly for swim lessons with mommy. She loves splashing around in the water. We are working on being comfortable with being on our back and on our front in the water; as well as learning how to blow bubbles in the water. 
• We started Isabelle on her first meat: Fish! Her favorite way to eat it is mixed with pureed carrots, peas or avocado.

Isabelle Updates: May

Isabelle's 6th Month:1 May-1 June

• Started on solid foods and loves them! Her first foods were mashed avocado and ground cooked steel cut oat cereal mixed with formula. She also tried and enjoyed pureed peas and zucchini.
•  Lots of "ga ga ga's" and other babbling. She loves to talk.
• Her favorite toy is still her Sophie giraffe.
• Sitting up on her own
• SO close to crawling! Rocks back and forth on hands and knees, pivots and scoots some. She is pretty good at moving backwards.
• She is a great little sleeper. Sleeps consistently from 8pm-6am. 

 

Eating avocado. She loves to try and hold the spoon herself, but she doesn't quite have the motor skills to do so yet (but she keeps trying!)
